  1. Your opt in gift should provide a definite solution to just one problem. It needs to be a concise, blueprint, workbook, template, guide, or checklist, no longer than 12 pages. It should include a short bio on you, the creator. It should also include social proof. i.e. at least 2 testimonials. Your visitors should get a quick victory or small win after downloading your free gift.
  2. Create a Quick and Simple solution that addresses one problem. Suggestions: a 10-minute auto file or a 5 minute video file. A one-page cheat sheet, or checklist. And it should not take you more than 2 hours to create. Keep it simple and remember to put yourself into your ideal client’s shoes. They need non complicated language; with easy steps they can actually do. They must understand it to finish it and get a benefit right away. Generally speaking anything that is 30 days long, such as a challenge, or email sequence is just too long. Most people will lose interest and definitely not get a quick result.
  3. Your Freebie should also be consistent with your overall business message. When your visitors land on your homepage, the gift should match their expectations. Create your gift with your audience’s needs in mind, and usually they are novices. Remember why your visitor landed on your page in the first place, and address one of their biggest problems. Make certain the cover is designed nicely and is appealing. They often judge the gift by the cover and decide to opt in or not.
